What to expect when you are in need of Glazing products and services from Trinity Glass and Mirror, Inc.
When you call to inquire for whatever your glazing needs are, it may be helpful to check out our ‘Help us help you’ page to be prepared for answering important questions.
We often request photos of the areas that needs glass installed.
They are quite useful in properly preparing your price especially when it’s difficult to answers some of our questions.
Showers are particularly important to verify they are ready to measure for the glass.
Sometimes we can’t accurately price out your project unit we come out to measure. This is called a ‘measure up’.
WE PROVIDE THIS SERVICE FOR A NOMINAL FEE WHICH WILL BE CREDITED BACK TO YOU UPON DEPOSIT FOR YOUR GLASS ORDER. ALL GLASS OR SERVICE ORDERS OVER $50 REQUIRE A 50% DEPOSIT.
For shower enclosure glass the appointment can take up to an hour. We check to see if walls are plumb or just how far out they are. We confirm this by taking measurements of multiple areas. Pictures will be taken for ‘before and after’ purposes. Verification of the pitch on shower sills will determine which direction the water will flow when it reaches the bottom of the glass. During the appointment, we will review with you any concerns we have, hardware choices and their placement, optional glass protection and provide your pricing. We are competitively priced, if you receive written quotes for comparable sizes and product – then it becomes an opportunity to win your business.
For mirror projects such as walls or areas in excess of 8 ft. we will mark off bullet lines with tape to gauge measurements and verify if your walls are true and flat.
We take into account for outlets and switch holes, review your design needs and offer various options on how to apply the mirror.
Furniture top protection outside of a Square, Rectangle or Round will require a visit to lay out pattern paper to get the exact replica of contoured designs. These patterns are cut from larger sheet sizes and are custom fabricated in our shop. Most surface areas only require 1/4” annealed glass. 3/8” or 1/2” glass is suitable for pedestals. Delivery and set up is also available for a nominal fee.
Most windows can be quoted directly over the phone. Basic window questions will be asked to determine if someone needs to come out. Check with our ‘Help us help you’ page to prepare for our inquiries. To measure for replacement window glass, we need the width and height of ‘daylight’ (what you see of glass). Not how far into the frame, we make the necessary additions to accommodate for that.
We take great pride in the work we perform and strive to provide excellent customer service. We hope that by reading through this information makes you more comfortable as an education consumer.
